Trepang Studios has announced that Trepang 2 is officially heading to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in late 2023, and it’s essentially the closest thing you’re going to get to a new F.E.A.R. game any time soon.

Set in the distant future, Trepang 2 is an FPS packed with action and copious amounts of gore, with players having to master superhuman powers and speed to dispatch waves of armed mercenaries that stand in your way. After being broke out of a heavily guarded blacksite with no memories, you have to fight to discover the truth, utilising cloaking powers and dodging rapid-fire bullets to overcome your adversaries.
It won’t be easy though, as foes will react intelligently to your every move in fully unscripted combat. Speaking of which, you can get up close and personal if you want, duffing up baddies with close quarters melee combat to deliver bone-crunching combos against your adversaries.
Trepang 2 is due out on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in late 2023.
