Mortal Kombat 1 puts a total reset on the story of Mortal Kombat fans previously knew, which means we’re seeing rivals now acting as strong allies, and whole new threads for villain arcs to pop-up.
In the latest trailer we got more of a look into the game’s story, while more importantly we also got confirmation for a couple of the main roster fighters, which now officially includes Rain and Smoke and their new re-designs.
We also got the reveal of a few new Kameo fighers, namely Frost, Cyrax and Sektor, along with some extra-gore filled animations and a fatality to cap things off in the end of the trailer.
As far as the game’s story goes, we only got a hint of what could become a greater issue between Scorpion and Sub-Zero, potentially driving them to cease their new found ally-ship and become enemies again by the end of the game.
At time of writing however the release of Mortal Kombat 1 is only months away, so it won’t be long until fans can find out for themselves how the story goes.
