We’re all waiting for The Last of Us: Part 3 from Naughty Dog, but in the meantime, there’s something new if you need to get your post-apocalyptic fix: The Last Hope Dead Zone Survival! Okay, that’s a bit of a stretch; it’s actually a total rip-off of The Last of Us for Nintendo Switch, and looks pretty rough to boot.
Like Naughty Dog’s epic adventure, The Last Hope features two main characters – and male and a female – as they navigate a post-apocalyptic landscape inhabited by zombies. The art work looks very similar to The Last of Us’ Joel and Ellie, and the gameplay and general premise had obviously doffed their cap to Naughty Dog’s game.
The Last Hope: Dead Zone Survival is an intense storyline game set in an apocalyptic world overrun by hordes of ravenous zombies. As the main character, your sole objective is to survive and find a way to escape the nightmarish chaos that surrounds you. To endure the challenges ahead, you must undertake daring missions that test your survival skills. Each mission you take can be the difference between life and death.
The official blurb promises “storytelling and narrative” “captivating plot” and “immersive graphics,” although in regards to the latter, if immersive means looking like it was cooked up in Microsoft Paint, then you’re in for a treat.
Speaking of The Last of Us Part 3, it’s heavily rumoured to be in development at Naughty Dog, with a recent leak suggesting it will introduce five new characters, with Ellie also reportedly set to return.
